Referral Resources

As you begin providing renovation services in your community, I am sure it is quite apparent that the need for ABWK services are staggering. So many needs and so few resources to help. As an affiliate, you do what you can and grow as quickly as your organizational circumstances allow.

However, what I have found is that many families and agencies are unaware of the supportive resources that are available in their communities. Whether it is do it yourself resources like the Habitat ReStore or energy savings support through Community Action or even a clearinghouse resource like the United Way 211 system, there needs to be an easier way of helping families and agencies access available and reliable resources to support the home.

After years of frustration, trying to find reliable resources to refer families to, I have created a web tool that while far from perfect, allows us to refer families in our community, state and around the country to resources that have a track record of giving valuable assistance to families in need. It is a simple, easy to use site called preserveourhome.com.

Preserve Our Home, LLC is dedicated to connecting families to organizations that provide goods and services in the area's of home repair, accessability renovations, do it yourself resources, financial and mortgage counseling and energy saving helps at no cost or an affordable price. We also provide links to low cost food options as well as thrift stores that provide household items at reasonable prices.
