We have begun to partner with veteran organizations and social service agencies to give back to veterans who may be struggling to make the transition back to civilian life. Habitat partners with veterans through accessibility adaptations, home maintenance and restoration services.
When we think about the tremendous sacrifice that veterans and their families have given to their country it's amaxing how so many have been marginalized and forgotten.
At Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity we are committed to making service to veterans a priority. In 2011 we were able to serve 17 veterans in a variety home maintenance activities.
It is such a privelege and moving experience to hear their stories of service and to be able to lift them up to our community.
We are honored to serve veterans and to show them grateful service for what they have sacrificed.
